James Hendler
Summary
This paper presented an overview of the critical components of what an intelligent agent for web searching would require, as well as how personalizable this agent should be. The criteria for an ideal personal Internet agent included: communication, capable (able to accomplish actions), autonomous, and adaptive. These criteria I agree are important, and Hendler makes an effective argument, but the paper was decidedly non-technical. The paper did not provide insight for an algorithmic implementation of such an agent, though the research was thorough and for a general audience its point was effectively made.
